Below are some examples of party packages and the rates for each. Serafina works closely with event coordinators to make sure that special requests for music, costuming, and timing of the performances are met. Bellygram - $175 and up (10-12 minutes): The Bellygram consists of an exciting opening with finger cymbals and upbeat music, a dramatic veil dance, a drum solo, and a finale designed to get party guests - especially the guest(s) of honor - up and dancing. It lasts up to 12 minutes and is perfect for a surprise party or an event featuring multiple entertainers throughout the night.

Basic Belly Dance Show - $195 and up (15-20 minutes): The Basic Belly Dance Show is a full performance that includes dances with zills and veil, a captivating balancing act featuring sword or candles, a drum solo, and an upbeat song to get the audience dancing. It lasts between 15 and 20 minutes and adds a lively, exotic touch to any party.

Classic Belly Dance Show -$225 and up (25-30 minutes): The Classic Belly Dance Show includes all the elements of the Basic, but also features a routine with Isis Wings (space permitting) and an extra audience participation section, giving you and your guests more time to enjoy the show and get involved. This is the most popular choice for birthdays, weddings, and theme parties!

Signature Belly Dance Show - $350: The Signature Belly Dance Show is an extended version of the Classic. It includes two 25-minute sets, separated by a 10-minute break and optional costume change. It lasts a total of one full hour and can be customized to suit the event. This is the best choice for a party featuring belly dance as the main attraction or for a group that loves to dance and wishes to have extra time for open dancing and audience participation. It may involve additional props, according to the host’s request.

Belly Dance Show & Mini Lesson / Princess Party - $225-350: A performance to inspire and a group class to give guests some moves to practice on the dance floor and take home with them. Participants are outfitted with colorful hip scarves, which may also be available for purchase after the show. This package is especially popular with bridal showers, bachelorette parties, baby showers, and Princess Parties (children’s birthday celebrations), but is a great idea for any event. Price depends on length of appearance; for example, a 10-15-minute show followed by a 10-15-minute class is $225, and a 20-30-minute show followed by a 20-30-minute class is $350.

Superstar Package: Multiple dancers and sets can be coordinated to create an evening of enthralling performances, dramatic entrances and exits, stunning solo pieces, group routines, and even live music. Rates vary depending on specifications for the event; please inquire for a price quote.

Regularly Scheduled Shows: A discounted rate is available for venues such as restaurants and nightclubs that offer multiple bookings.

*Travel Fees: A modest surcharge may be applied to any show that requires more than 30 minutes of one-way travel. The amount will be disclosed at the time of booking.

*Deposit: A deposit is required (payable via Paypal or by check) to reserve your date and time, and is refundable until one week prior to the event. This will be discussed upon booking.

*Premium Bookings: Performances on holidays such as New Year’s Eve, Christmas Eve, and Valentine’s Day are considered Premium Bookings, and prices will be raised accordingly.

*Rates may vary depending on the length, location, and date of an event, as well as on the number of performers required. Prices are subject to change at any time.

Any performance may be customized to suit your event. Serafina accepts requests for music styles and specific songs, props, and costumes. Each show is unique, but if you have never hired a belly dancer before, the information listed below will give you an idea of what to expect.

What type of music do you dance to?

My collection includes a wide range of songs and styles, from Egyptian, Greek, Lebanese and Turkish pop to classic Middle Eastern and Mediterranean music and an extensive library of Indian and Bollywood favorites. If there’s something specific you want to hear, just ask!

The show usually includes both belly dance classics and contemporary hits, with a focus on upbeat, catchy melodies.

I provide my own music, unless otherwise specified, on a customized CD or Mp3 player and ask that you provide the sound system. Live accompaniment may be available for an additional charge - this is perfect for larger parties and weddings.

Can I preview your show prior to booking you?

If you’d like to view a performance, please feel free to request information about upcoming shows that are open to the public. If you are unable to attend a performance, plenty of photos, videos, testimonials, and references are available.

Will you involve my guests or do something special for the Guest of Honor?

Yes, of course! Audience members become part of the show as I encourage them to dance with me, clap along to the music, and take pictures. I also respect guests who do not want to share the spotlight!

As for the Guest of Honor, a birthday card with your special message can be presented upon my entrance. If you are hosting a bridal shower or children’s birthday party, I am happy to provide your special guest with a hip scarf in her favorite color. I always spend extra time with special guests, making sure to get them dancing and create wonderful photo opportunities for their friends and family.

Will you pose for photos after the show?

Time permitting, I am always happy to have my picture taken with you and your guests after the show. If this is a “must,” please let me know as we are discussing booking so that I can reserve extra time for your event.

Do you require a contract and/or deposit?

Yes! In most cases, I will e-mail or fax you a contract that you can send back with your deposit. In the event of last-minute booking, a deposit may be submitted through Paypal.

Can we film your performance?

Yes. You are welcome and encouraged to take pictures and videos - and to share them with me after the event!

There will be children at the party. Is a belly dance show appropriate?

Yes. In fact, children are often my biggest fans! While the dance can be sensual, it is neither overtly sexual nor risque. Rather, it’s a great way to keep kids and adults entertained simultaneously!

Can you negotiate a lower price for my event, especially since it will bring you a lot of great exposure and tips?

Probably not. My prices are competitive, and while I do make an effort to donate time to charity, or work with a student club or Seniors’ group that may have a low entertainment budget, in general I cannot provide any discounts. Preparation is time-consuming and expensive, so while the show may last 30 minutes, it takes much more time for a dancer to present the professional image that you are looking for.

Can we tip you during or after your performance?

Yes. Tips are not necessary, but are always appreciated! While I am dancing, tips can be showered over my head, placed around my neck as a garland, or tucked into the sides of my hip belt and arm cuffs. If you prefer, you may provide a tip along with payment after the show.

How long have you been dancing?

I have been studying various forms of dance and gymnastics since I was very young. I took my first belly dance class with Serena Wilson when I was 15 and started studying seriously two years later. I appeared in my first student show in 2000, and have been performing regularly as a professional dancer since 2005.

Do you teach classes?

Yes! I teach beginner and intermediate classes at Starry Night Dance Studio in Garwood. More information about these can be found on the Home page.

I also teach private lessons, which can be conducted in my home or yours, or at Starry Night Dance Studio. Learn in privacy or share your time with friends! I have several packages available to make classes fun and affordable.
